レイモン・アベリオ（ Raymond Abellio、1907年～1986年 ）は、トゥールーズに生まれ、理工科学校、国立土木学校を出て、一時は兵役にも就いたが、第二次大戦末に書かれ1946年に刊行された最初の小説"Heureux les pacifiques"が翌年の第2回サント・ブーヴ賞を受賞する。以後、小説の他にも、グノーシス主義的な思想を展開する評論なども執筆した。
